Hi! We are Andy, Judy and Reily Cannon of Santa Rosa, California. We hope that this letter provides for you a sense of the stable, loving, secure and fun home that we would like to provide for your child. Its not just about us or the child, its also about you. Your future and your desires are important to us. We pray that together we can both achieve our dreams and desires.
About Us: We met in grad school eight years ago and have been happily married for over 6 years. Our shared interests, values, goals and faith in God have brought us closer together. Our personalities are quite different but yet we seem to balance each other very well. When our daughter Reily was born 4 1/2 years ago, we felt incredibly blessed, and now we are excited about being able to complete our family through open adoption.
About Andy: "Andy
is easy to love and a wonderful dad. He's affectionate, easy-going, and is
the true anchor of our family. He is always very patient and
even-tempered. One of the things that makes him such a great dad is his
ability to live in the moment and enjoy what he's doing right here, right
now. Watching him play with Reily, I sometimes can't tell who's having

About Judy: "Judy has a great sense of humor. She is loving, affectionate and a good communicator. Her tender heart and her patience with those she loves make her a great mom and a wonderful wife. She has really changed my life and I wouldn't have it any other way!" - Andy
About
Reily: Reily
adores anything pink, princesses, and going shopping. She loves art and
music, and is active in lots of fun activities like ballet, swimming, pee-wee
tennis, tiny tots theater, and soccer. Reily is kind and gentle, like her
dad, and warm and caring, like her mom, and that is why you can tell she's going
to be a great big sister. She always seems to gravitate toward the little
ones when we go to the park and she says that playing with them is helping her
"practice to be a big sister"!
Our
Extended Family:
We
are blessed with
a great extended family. Our new baby will have two adoring grandmothers,
and an assortment of loving cousins, second cousins aunts and uncles. On
any holiday you can find our house festively decorated, full of family members
enjoying time together, food and fun. Omi, Andy's mom, and her sisters and
brothers were born in Germany. This gives us a unique opportunity to share
in their traditions and culture. Every Christmas, Omi makes gingerbread
houses with the grandkids and we put out polished shoes for St. Nicholaus.
In addition to our original families, we have inherited, through friendship, tow
more aunts and four more cousins who live less than five minutes away from our
house. Our new baby will be surrounded by lots of love, family and
friends.
Family Life:
Family is the
most important thing in our lives and so we try to spend time together whenever
we can. Whether it's having floor picnics, pelting dad with water balloons
as he arrives home from work, singing silly songs while swinging on the play set,
climbing into the wading pool clothes and all, or just hanging out, we love doing
things as a family.
Home and Work:
We live about an hour north of San Francisco in Santa Rosa, California, in a
wonderful neighborhood that has lots of children and pets. We share our
home with our playful, friendly dogs Keisha, and Bailey, and our birds, Stevie
and Demi. We both work at a high-tech, family oriented company here in
town. Our jobs are very flexible and allow us to take off in the middle of
the day for our daughter's ballet recitals and other important events. We
also are able to work at home when we need to. When we have to be away
from home, Reily stays with our wonderful nanny, who is just great with kids and
is excited about our plans to extend our family. A nanny has been a great
child care solution for us and will make it possible for our children to stay at
home, while receiving one-on-one care from an attentive, nurturing adult.
