Santa Rosa Chapter #53 of the National Association For Retired and Current Federal Employees is an affiliation of the National Association of Retired Federal employees.
Our purpose is to preserve the benefits that they are entitled to and enlighten the members as to what they need to do to preserve these benefits.
As you all know, Congress makes the rules and Congress sometimes changes the rules. It is up to us, as members of NARFE to make sure that our Senators and Representatives in Congress listen to us and hear what we have to say about preserving our benefits.
Questions and answers are one of the most helpful ways that NARFE with the Monthly Publication Retirement Life, assists members with problems that arise before or after separation from Federal service
One of the concerns that Officers of NARFE constantly point out is the fact that non members do not realize the number of Legislative Bills pending in the Congress that are detrimental to the benefits of all Federal Employees.
An example of some the benefits we need to protect are: Our Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) Equity; Retain the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP); Oppose any changein the Consumer Price Index; Support Off Budget Status; Support Legislation for Long Term Care Insurance.
Lobby for legislation that would reduce the penalty imposed on those who do not enroll in Medicare Part B at the time they become eligible.
Don't let our legislators steal our benefits

ATTENTION CURRENT EMPLOYEES
Take notice of what happens when you go on retired status and lose an average of about $434 per year. Before you retired you paid your premiums with pre-tax dollars. Now you will be paying with after tax dollars. It is up to all of us to write or call our congressional representatives in order to correct this
Here you can link to ask questions about your annuity, change your tax withholdings, change your allotments, changes of address and ask any other question that you need an answer to. You will need your CSA # and a PIN# that that you can retrieve from this site.
