The American Legion Post 21 Honor Guard Drill Team "The Rough Riders"
is now being formed under the direction of Grant Noah - Drill Instructor of the 6th United States Army Honor Guard Drill Team. Grant brings with him over 44 years of Drill Team experience. He was with the 2nd Battle Group 6th United States Infantry Honor Guard Drill Team, Berlin Germany and was the Leader of the 6th United States Army Honor Guard Drill Team - Presidio of San Francisco "The Presidians". He is an expert in Drill Team Rifle Drill and has perfected ports spins and rifle spins - spins and rifle rotates some eight feet in the air. He is looking for "a few good men or women" who are willing to step forward and take their place as a member of this unique organization and be prepared to be acknowledge as the most outstanding Drill Team in the American Legion. The Drill team will consists of 12 members but could be expanded to 16.
Not only will members of the American Legion be considered but also the Sons and Daughters of American Legion members (minimum requirement, Junior or Seniors in High School). Grant is looking for members who are will coordinate and willing to work hard in achieving these goals.   You will be trained in precision silent drill - armed with an M1 Chrome Drill Rifle ( 8.5 pound balance), Chrome Helmet and a profession Drill Team Uniform. You will be instructed in the manual of arms used by the Drill Teams of the Marine Corp , Army, Air Force, Presidential Honor Guard and Navy. The Officers of Post 21, Fred Walton and Grant are serious about forming a profession Drill Team not only representing Post 21 and Santa Rosa California but the California American Legion in parades and demonstrations throughout Northern California.
