Boudicca

What fascinates me in history is often buried under dates and names in the textbooks. It makes me sad to hear students say, "History is so boring." It is my favorite subject because of the wonderful stories. Meet the famous and infamous; hear their words as well as their deeds - and even ask them questions! The first historical telling I gave was of the Donnor Party for a Middle School history class. I told it from the view of a teenage girl who survived and the students were fascinated and full of questions. I believe putting the STORY back in hiSTORY is powerful.
