Mahal Plaza - Our largest farmworker housing rental property is located in Yuba City, California. Mahal Plaza has 98 two, three, and four bedroom townhouse apartments. There are extensive lawns throughout the project, and each unit has a small private patio and lawn. Ten units are accessible to the physically disabled. Built in two phases, the first was completed in 1990, and the second, including a child care center, was completed in 1997. There is a large laundry facility in each phase. Off-street parking spaces are assigned to residents, and there is also off-street guest parking. Under contract with Napa Valley Housing Authority, CHDC manages the Calistoga Farmworker Center, a 11 month/year migrant worker shelter serving workers in the Napa Valley wine industry. This facility provides beds, showers, laundry facilities and meals. Northbay Human Development Corporation Parkway Plaza- Located in Fairfield, California,
Parkway Plaza is designed for low income seniors and adults with disabilities. There are
99 self-contained, one-bedroom apartments designed for independent living. Four of the
units are accessible to the physically disabled, and six are semi-accessible to the
physically disabled. This gated community features beautiful lawns and gardens, individual
gardening plots for residents, a community room with billiards, and barbecue facilities,
and fenced parking. Parkway Plaza is a very active community. CHDC
was Project Sponsor for development of the facility, and currently manages
the property for the owner, Northbay Human Development Corporation, with a loan from HUD
