Slight variation of the #5 gate with an altered picket pattern. The center of three pickets, and a pair of two to either side.  A subtle detail. As a double off-set gate spanning a 60" walkway, the left is a comfortable 42" width, and the right, fixed Garden Gate at 18".  (Lower right corner a view of this Seattle home)

Wih Garden Gatet #5-2 we see a pair of abnormally narrow double gate (24" per gate) and the pattern for the lower open slots.

Garden Gate #5-3 mounted to a typical stump block wall with the cpw jambs.  Because this is a pool gate, the code often requires the latch be at a certain height from the grade, and the hinges be self-closing.  Pool code gates must open out, away from the pool.

Garden Gate #5-4 in Claremont, CA. A wider upper picket with narrow spacings at 3/4", and a solid lower panel without open slots.  This is a privacy gate, while keeping with the #5 aesthetic.

  Where the Wood Gate is flanked by a series of CPW 'Pony Panels' inserted between stone column constructed and spaced specifically to panel width called out in the CPW drawings.

  An extensive project in San Diego, CA with a single gate style #5, accompanied by the fence style #8.  Also shown is a wrap made for the site post that incorporated a copper bas relief chosen by the homeowner.

The first time, in the 1907-'s when Charles lived just a few blocks away, LaLanne swam the distance handcuffed! Later, towing a row boat. Hard to believe?
