An unmistakable Arts and Crafts aesthetic to this gate in Bel Air, California.  Various panels floating within mortise and tenon dividers  to create a Gate Design that is identical front and back.

  The Gate Column wraps to an existing structural post, acting as a latch jamb to the the Garden Gate on the left, and a hinge jamb to the out-swinging Driveway Gate.  The Column arrives as a three-sided unit, slipping around the post, with the fourth side secured in place as a simple last step to the installation.  

Often, the gates are installed prior to any pending stone or walkway work, as a precaution against potential mishaps by an unwitting crew.
