One giant leap for corporatekind

Joe Conason is back with more on the Halliburton-goes-to-Mars story... including a link to an excellent article from today's Washington Post.

In that article, the authors write:

President Bush emphasized American ingenuity, international cooperation and human destiny when he announced his new space policy this week, but the plan also reflected long-held ambitions of the U.S. aerospace and energy industries.

It's very striking how the lofty American ideals of this administration always have a layer of long-held corporate ambitions underneath.
