Dissent fractures wingnuts

Michelle Goldberg spends time at another right-wing gathering so you don't have to. In this case, she attended the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), and found that conservatives are broadly unhappy with the Bush administration, which they see as spending profligately and expanding the federal government's powers.

The money quote:

The mood was like that of liberals in 2000 who saw Al Gore as nothing more than a lesser evil and yearned to send a futile message through Ralph Nader.

Let's hope all those loyal Republicans haven't learned the lesson from Nader's failed campaign, hm?
