The Australian Herald Sun is reporting another whale explosion today. This time, it happened in Taipei, sans dynamite:
"Because of the natural decomposing process, a lot of gases accumulated, and when the pressure build-up was too great, the whale's belly just exploded," marine biologist Professor Wang Chien-ping said.
The last known whale explosion was in Oregon in 1970. That one needed a little help from our good friend TNT. What is it with the Pacific Rim states and their explosive cetaceans?
