The Mighty ThUnderGround Alliance

Human/Dwarf

The story of the Alliance begins with the story of Thunder Mountain.

Thunder Mountain is a major trade center in the World's Edge Mountains. In, on, and around Thunder Mountain is a colony of each of the major races that inhabit the Warhammer world. Inside the mountain lives the Dwarves. Atop the mountain is a Halfling village. In tunnels far beneath the mountain live the Skaven and the Chaos Dwarves. To the north of Thunder Mountain are colonies of High Elves, Wood Elves and a small Empire city. To the south are villages of Orcs, Dark Elves, and Norse.

The ThUnderGround Alliance was formed by a crazy old man named Harold of the Rocks, who was rumored to be half human, half dwarf. He saw a great possibility to form a lasting peace between all the races on the Warhammer world. And what better place to start than Thunder Mountain? And what better way to get all the races to join together for a common cause than to root for a Blood Bowl team.

The Alliance was never a real powerhouse team, but they were always capable of putting the ball in the endzone, what with the amazing ball-trowing ability of Derek Broadsword and the amazing ball-carrying and self-defense abilities of 'Mighty' Martyn Xeron. And they were always capable of holding the line and inflicting some pain along the way, with a stout selection of longbeards ranging from Frisk Bandersnatch to 'Chainsaw' Arton.

However, the Alliance broke up, in a very nasty fashion, after DungeonBowl I, when the Alliance was eliminated in the first round. By an undead team, no less.

Martyn Xeron and Frisk Bandersnatch decided the best way to settle their differances was to break up the team. But neither of them could stay off the pitch for long.

Martyn gathered up some of his human teammates and, along with Derek Broadsword and Billy 'Hands' Thompson, formed the Thunder Mountain Lightning.

Frisk's story is not quite so simple. After the break-up of the Alliance, he became so fed up with all the goody-two-shoes humans that, along with 'Chainsaw' Arton, he made the long and dangerous journey down through the tunnels beneath the mountain to trun himself over to Chaos.

Down beneath Thunder Mountain, Frisk met Hthark the Unstoppable. They both got to talking about their glory days on the Blood Bowl pitch. A few kegs of Bugman's later, they decided to form a Blood Bowl team. And they called themselves the Tunnel Pirates.
