When Jon married Sara she was a widow in the village Klabbböle.
This is also were the couple lived the first years of their
marriage.Then they settled in Jons birth village Stöcksjön.When
Jon and Sara got older they moved to Västerhiske village where
their son Pehr was living. According to both parish records and
death records Jon was born 1702, but birth records are missing
that period. The following info comes from the death records.
26 Dec1784 the widower Jon Olofsson in Västerhiske died. Born
in Stöcksjön , parents were Olof Jonsson and Catharina
Pehrsdotter. These fine dear parents upbringing he enjoyed
until the time he entered the matrimony with Sara Ericsdotter
from Ytterhiske with whom he has got 8 children 6 still alive.
He became a widower half a year ago , and has lived an honest
and virtuous life. Faint from several old age ailments , and
none the less by a violent caugh has he for several years been
tied to his bed and ended his laborious mode of life in this
world at the age of 82.'
Comment.
The number of children doesnt seem to match. Its possible
that the priest counted Jonas and Saras children that were
noted in the birth record, 6 of them, and then added the
fostersons. It is also possible that they had other children
not noted.
