William Bocca was married to Abigail Derosa (Rosa), b. 1882, daughter of Joseph da rosa (derosa/rosa) and Abbie Madden
and sister of Maria Rosa Babkirk

Here is the information from Barbara regarding the Boccas:

My maternal grandmother (Matilda Elizabeth Bocca- Peters)had a half-brother named William, who was a pharmacist.  He was living with my grandmother at the time of his death.  He moved in with my widowed grandmother following his wife Abbie's death.  He lived with my grandmother for about a year before he passed away.  He and Abbie had a daughter, Bernice, who passed away about 1944.

Re: William & Abbie:  I'm almost positive that they only had Bernice.  She died pretty young (42 from complications of pneumonia I believe).  She was born in 1902 & died in 1944.  I don't think she had any children either, as I don't recall Uncle Bill talking about grandchildren, but then I was only about 12 or 13 when he passed away.  Also, my grandmother didn't know what to do with his belongings after he passed away, so that leads me to believe he didn't have any heirs.

I have a lot of photos, definitely of Uncle Bill, but none (that I know of) of Abbie.  My grandmother's father (Vincenzo Bocca) had two sons when he married my grandmother's mother (Rosa Marie Stigliano).  They were William and Pat.  When Vincent married my great grandmother, they had 5 daughters & one son.  My grandmother was next to the youngest girl & my Uncle Frank was the youngest.  I have several photos of Vincent, Will & Pat that were taken in 1901.  It says on the back Pa, age 59, Will, age 27 & Pat, age 24.  Unfortunately, most of my pictures don't have anything written on the back.  I could just kick myself for not asking more questions when my parents were alive.  I guess we just don't appreciate these things until we get older.  When my dad passed away in July of 2000, we went through all the pictures (my older sister, Pat, & younger brother, Bill, and I) and divided things up & I just found out that my brother has Vincent Bocca's original immigration papers.  They scanned them & emailed them in pieces, but I'm not having much luck translating the Italian
