RFedit:

VectorScript Diagnostic and Editing tool creates Records worksheet which can used to:

• Examine VW Drawing object records and PIO records (parameters).
  • Diagnose file records
  • Troubleshoot
  • Compare
• Edit Object & PIO record fields in worksheet and insert back into VW objects.
  • Edit individual records
  • Use copy and paste to change a field accross many records
• Find a record object in the drawing.
• Examine/Edit Records in the Symbol Library

Instructions:

This script will allow you to create two main worksheets with "Create" buttons.

EDIT • Drawing Records --Objects in the drawing and their records.
EDIT • SymLib Records --Symbols in the file's Symbol Library and their records.

Main Dialog:

First a registration reminder dialog appears but the script is not limited in demo mode.
Then the Main Dialog appears:

Create "EDIT • Drawing Records" worksheet:

The script will ask you to choose the layers and records you want to search and list. Then it will write the worksheet.
PIO record name are the same as the PIO name.

Insert "EDIT • Drawing Records" worksheet:

Copy and paste or edit the "EDIT • Drawing Records" worksheet cells with the field values. Then run rfedit, choose the INSERT: "EDIT • Drawing Records" from the main dialog and the new values will be entered back into the drawing objects.

Find "EDIT • Drawing Records" worksheet:

Choose the "Find" option and enter the worksheet row number of the object. The VW view will be changed to fit the object in the drawing window and the object will be selected.

The Symbol Library Worksheet can be created and used in similar ways.
The record "ID rfedit" is created in the VWfile to locate the worksheet records.

Recalculate Worksheet option:

Choose this option to recalculate worksheets.
