2006 CAMP SCHEDULE

ONE 3 WEEK SESSION

FOUR 2 WEEK SESSIONS

Sessions begin and end on Sundays...

1st.....June 18th to July 9th.....3 weeks
(We will take approximately half the maximum enrollment of 36 campers for the first week of 1st session)

2nd.....June 25th to July 9th.....2 weeks

3rd.....July 9th to July 23rd.....2 weeks

4th.....July 23rd to August 6th.....2 weeks

5th.....August 6th to August 20th.....2 weeks

Enrollment is limited to a MAXIMUM of thirty-six campers per session.

All our regular camp activities will be available for each session. The breaking, training, sale conditioning, etc. of young horses will be available each session as a special activity for all campers who are interested in gaining this knowledge.

Note
Starting this year the $250.00 registration fee will cover all sessions each camper is enrolled for during the 2006 season.

 

2006 CAMP FEES

Registration Fee: $250 - Due with Application

Session Fee: $750 per week

Transportation Fee: $25 - Each way from and to Sacramento International Airport

Session fees are due two weeks before arrival date. Session fee does not include the Registration Fee.

CANCELLATION

The registration fee covers the enrollment cost. It is nonrefundable unless we are unable to place your child in the sessions requested.

Session fees will not be refunded for absences, withdrawals, or dismissals from camp, except in the case of illness. In the case of cancellation due to illness (of all or part of the time of enrollment) parents and the camp will share the burden, and 50% of the remaining fee will be refunded.

IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION

 Directions to the Walking G Ranch Camp:

From the West: Hwy 70 through Oroville and the Feather River Canyon to Hwy 89 (10 mi. West of Quincy) Go North on 89, 6 miles to A22 to Taylorsville and Antelope Lake (on your right) 5 miles to Taylorsville. Go straight through down town Taylorsville (don't blink or you'll miss it!) and you will be on the Taylorsville-Genesee Road. When you cross over the bridge, you will see the Silver Buckle Rodeo grounds to your left...set your trip meter, we are exactly 7.5 miles from the Rodeo grounds...You can't miss us!

From the East: Hwy 395 North of Reno approximately 25 miles to Hwy 70 West through Portola-Quincy. 10 Miles West to 89 North (towards Greenville and Lake Almanor) From the Junction of 70 and 89, follow the directions given above...

Campers flying into Sacramento will be met by a counselor wearing a Walking G T-shirt and carrying a copy of the camper's enrollment application (please attach a recent photo of the camper to the enrollment form) and a copy of the flight information you have provided. (make sure to put this information in the provided area on the application.)

If you are driving the camper(s) to our meeting place:

Sacramento Airport- (8 miles North of Sacramento on I-5) The 2 hour Free parking zone-Go through the pick-up, drop-off lane in front of terminal B, and continue on in the right lane (do not take the main exit road to your left) the meeting area is about 3 blocks on your right (see airport map). The white Walking G 15 passenger Ford van(s) will arrive between 11:30 and noon.

We provide transportation for $25 each way from and to Sacramento on Sunday, the beginning and end of each session. Please check the appropriate choices on the application forms, and notify us of any changes in your plans.

Watch for a Walking G van at the meeting place!

There are numerous camp sites close by in the National Forest as well as organized camp grounds in Taylorsville and at Antelope Lake.
