Hey, thanks for dropping in...!

Glad to meet you!

On Saturday May 21st of 2005, the love of my life, Angela, accepted my hand in marriage. We were married in a beautiful oasis by the sea, Compass Rose Gardens in Bodega Bay, California.

I have been lucky enough to enjoy my broadcasting journey, with many great friends along the way, for many years now. Today, I'm a deejay on KVRV 97.7 FM "The River", Classic Rock for the North Bay, and KFGY 92.9 FM "Froggy", 12-in-a-Row Country.

I love all kinds of music; everything from rock to opera. I'm also a huge Jimmy Buffett fan (aka: Parrothead). Parrotheads are a unique breed. If you've ever been to a Jimmy Buffet concert, you know what I mean already. It's the epitome of wackiness. If you're wondering if there really is such a place as Margaritaville, a Jimmy Buffett show will convince you that it exists. You'll be there already. Fins up!

I've always been intrigued by magic. I've been a fan ever since watching Mark Wilson and the "Magic Land of Allakazam" on television as a young boy. Being a magician was something I always dreamed of as a youngster, and I got a lot of encouragement from my parents. I loved performing magic tricks for my friends. Today I am a performing magician, and a proud member of the Society of American Magicians and the International Brotherhood of Magicians. One of my favorite hangouts is our local magic shop, Mostly Magic, in downtown Santa Rosa.

I'm also a Disney freak. It started when I was a small baby in my playpen singing along to the Mickey Mouse Club song, and later developed into a healthy facination with Annette Funicello. Hey, Mouseketeers! But anyway... Hey, speaking of Disney, my son, Tom and I have made many excursions to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Angela went with me to the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland in 2005. We had a blast!

Extra Bio Stuff about Doc...

Angela and I live in Santa Rosa, California, in the heart of Wine Country, just about an hour north of San Francisco. We share our humble abode with our cat Arbuckle T. Pettibone.

I have a 21 year old son named Tom. He is working at Whole Foods Market in Santa Rosa and is a full-time student at Santa Rosa Junior College. He's my best friend and buddy!

Angela works at Whitlock & Weinberger in Santa Rosa, and I work at Agilent Technologies in Santa Rosa.

I'm colorblind.

I used to fly hot-air balloons here in Sonoma County in the early 90's, and have taken fixed-wing aircraft flight lessons at Dragonfly Aviation in Santa Rosa.

I used to compete in the professional rodeo circuit (PRCA) at one time. Rode bulls, mostly. Saddle broncs at the end of it. During this time, I enrolled in the Life Education Course entitled "How Gravity Works". I also took a supplementary course called "How to Stretch 8 Seconds Into a Lifetime".

I'm a U.S. Navy veteran, having served on the aircraft carrier U.S.S Independence (CV-62). Crossed the equator six times on that ship and got to visit France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Sicily, Australia, Mauritius, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas and the Virgin Islands. I'm a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

My mother, uncle, grandfather and grandmother were actually Prisoners-of-War during WWII, held captive in Santo Tomas in the Philippines, guests of the Emperor of Japan from 1942 to 1945.

I'm the oldest of six, only because I pushed my way to the front.

I'm a cartoonist, too...I can do a caricature of literally anyone, which means I have absolutely no friends anymore.

Before radio, I did stand-up comedy in clubs in the North Bay and San Francisco. I owe a lot to one of the best comedy coaches around, Neil Leiberman, for his belief in me.

I went to college at Cal-Poly in San Luis Obispo, with a major in Partying and a minor in Beach Volleyball. Oh, yeah, occasionally I took some classes in Communications and Business, too.

I tend to move between fast and slow. I'm a Libra, but in Chinese astrology I think I'm a Woodpecker with a Sloth rising.

Life is Good.
