Hardman met Miguel
Ruiz, author of The Four Agreements, in 1995, and was his active apprentice for ten years.
Allan's background is in spiritual counseling and emotional healing,
and he now brings that experience to his teaching on the Toltec Path.
His personal dedication, piercing insight and compassionate humor
create a loving environment that supports each individual's personal
transformation in Spirit. Allan seems born to teach, and it is clear
that he loves to bring people together in the truth of the Perfection
that they are. His motto is "Creating Spiritual Community Through Love in
Action." Allan lives in Sonoma County, about an hour north of San Francisco, in northern California's beautiful redwoods and wine country. When he is not traveling and teaching, he can be found creating beauty and wonderful food in his flower and vegetable garden, or camping in the California mountains. Before his entry into the healing professions, Allan was a commercial beekeeper, harvesting and distributing honey in California. He also has extensive experience as a landscaper and custom gardener, and once managed a natural food restaurant (Vermont), and a health food store (Hawaii). He has lived in the interior mountains of British Columbia, and loves to travel in the USA and Latin America.
Allan's love of Mexico runs deep. He owns property in a small village
("Santa Cruz") and a home in Chacala, both on the west coast of Mexico, north of Puerto Vallarta.
His dream of creating a teaching and retreat community in Mexico is becoming a reality, and he invites
friends, students, and you to enjoy the simple life of rural Mexico with him each winter. For years he
has been waiting for high speed internet to reach the villages, and now that it is there, he can spend the winters in Chacala and
stay in touch with his international community of apprentices and fellow seekers. The "Joydancer" dances in joy with Life. Allan has developed a road map that leads his fellow travelers from the Hell of the Inner Judge and Victim, to the Heaven on Earth of personal freedom. He shares this road map, and many of the interesting destinations and diversions along the way, with students and groups everywhere. Allan's Joydancer Toltec Journey has become a book, "The Everything Toltec Wisdom Book," available everywhere, including the Joydancer Store here. Life is Relationship, and a special passion of Allan's is Conscious Relationships ~ with our mates and lovers, family, friends, our bodies, and ultimately all of Creation. His healing guidance has helped many romantic partnerships untangle unspoken agreements and hidden agendas, and establish clear and honest communication. He has helped many parents and children learn to hear and respect each other's stories. Addictive relationships with drugs and alcohol, food (and suffering in general) are also often healed through the common sense wisdom of of Allan's teaching.
