A HAWAI'I CANNABIS GOLDMINE ON TRIAL

Another historic legal battle is being waged in Hilo, under the glazed and apathetic watch of the bureaucratic establishment and cowering public. Shame on those tens of thousands of people out there in Hawai'i who have reaped the rewards and healing of cannabis for many years and choose to remain silent! Tens of millions across the US allow this insane prohibition to continue while their fellow smokers are sent off to prison, lives shattered and ruined!
Rev. Jonathan Adler's case is of peculiar legal interest for the conflict the State is presenting with itself! On behalf of the DEA, the prosecutor is attempting to convict Rev. Adler for "manufacture of a controlled substance," while at the same time Rev. Adler is certified by the State (Legislature and Dept. of Health) to grow, possess, and use medical marijuana. Of course, the prosecutor has been successful in suppressing his medical certification as "irrelevant," if you can believe that, with the judge sustaining. So we have the State suppressing its own legislated policy on marijuana as irrelevant! It doesn't get much more cynical and repressive than this, folks!
The basis of Rev. Adler's case is the religious use and sacred reverence for cannabis, going back to the days of the Old Testament. Rev. Adler learned the practices of annointing and healing with herbs and oils at Hebrew school from an early age. Not only does Rev. Adler represent his Judeo-Christian herbal tradition, but the Hindu Shivite tradition which has recognized the cannabis plant as a manifestation of God for thousands of years, as well as the Rastafarian movement that considers ganja ("with God") essential for proper insight into the complexities of human thought and the opening of the heart.
If the American culture loves to advertise itself as a place of refuge for the "pursuit of happiness," what culture are we currently living under, in which people who practice herbal medicine and religious anointment with flower essences are branded as outlaws? I suggest that this is a war of Realities: a desecrating, exploitation-oriented, puritanical police-state losing control over "the People" who simply want to enjoy "the pursuit of happiness" and cultural freedom. The consequences for all the people of Hawai'i are immense: the difference between an avalanche of herbal medicine worth its weight in gold making the islands rich, or more black helicopters and barbed wire imprisoning your neighbors. If tyranny is allowed to go unchecked when good people remain silent, holocausts are unleashed, children are starved, witches are burned.
Although I do not belong to Rev. Adler's church, as an Earth-based religious practitioner I offer this little tidbit of prophecy: a person's relationship and attitude about Mary Jane (marijuana, cannabis, hemp) reveals a relationship with Nature in general. The outcome of the war against cannabis will, to a great extent, affect humanity's ability to harmonize and heal the Earth. The more we collaborate with the petrochemical industrialists, the more we approach a cataclysmic and denatured future. Cannabis flowers are a manifestation of the Earth goddess, a sacrament since the dawn of human civilization. Which side will you choose? Only one will survive.

Police Hearing August 3, 2001
As Christ and his disciples were tortured and crucified by the Romans and the hypocrites, our Mary Jane is torn from us. Her growers are put in prison to rot and be corrupted. She is vilified and criminalized by the same industrialists and militarists we should call the "New Romans"--the Americans.
Here in Queen Lili'uokalani's Kingdom, this "eradication" can also be considered a cultural repression, a military operation calculated to impoverish and intimidate the people of these islands while planeloads of heroin and crack cocaine are dumped into rebellious communities, a classic CIA modus operandi. If you don't believe this, ask Congresswoman Maxine Waters of Southern California, see the film Panther, read the book Immaculate Deception: The Bush Crime Family Revealed, an expose by one of George Bush Sr.'s own OSS Generals, available at Amazon.com.
The good news is: Liberation is at hand! The corrupters and hypocrites are running out of lies; they are scrambling like roaches when the lights are turned on.
The Internet has made the truth accessible to all the world, and we can see the history of this divine presence stretching out to the dawn of civilization. One can argue that human civilization wouldn't have developed without the Cannabis plant, at least not as quickly or prosperously. New evidence shows that the human brain has evolved with receptors for cannabinoids, evidence that our minds expanded through the use of visionary plants such as marijuana. And this is what the police state is really afraid of-people who have awakened to their true potential.
Lord Siddartha Guatama sat under a Bodhi tree and only ate one cannabis seed per day until he became Shakyamuni Buddha. We can infer from his example that cannabis can lead one to enlightenment!
As the great prophet Bob Marley sang out to the world, we will "chant down Babylon." We will tell the truth to our children, turn the light on our gardens, nurture the flowers of our hearts. We have faith that our divine Mother will move the minds of our youth with clear vision.
It is always darkest before the dawn, as they say, and we are witnessing the death of a very dark, very deadly, industrial system. Let us pray that we can liberate the hypocrites in America very soon, as our planet is burning up with their poisons and lies. The bigger they are, the harder the fall, ya'll.
Spread the good news ... the Goddess grows among us, as God rises up in us! Yea, though we walk through the valley of the shadow of the DEA, we shall fear no evil, for the fragrant and beautiful truth of our Living Earth will prevail.
(Note: An important aspect of this case which will come out on appeal: Somehow, Rev. Adler's 89 budded-out plants have disappeared from evidence and been replaced with scraggly little plants. Only 1 ounce of buds were entered into evidence, and since Adler is certified to possess up to 3 ounces of medical marijuana, the cops have ruined their case by stealing the majority of the buds! This is consistent with many growers' allegations that the cops wait until the plants are ready to harvest, then most of the buds "disappear." The only thing being burned by the cops is scrag and leaves.)
Adler said he has a "personal relationship with each plant" and testified that he has a reverend's license from the state Department of Health that allows him to perform marriages.
