Red Alert
Leonard Peltier
On December 11, 1995, following his parole hearing, Leonard
Peltier was abruptly moved from Leavenworth Penitentiary to the Federal
Transfer Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Leonard was not allowed to pack
up any of his things! Art work-belongings-EVERYTHING was left at Leavenworth.
The warden at the Federal Penitentiary at Atlanta is Willie Scott, the same
Willie Scott who, while warden at Leavenworth, targeted Leonard, creating
a dangerous situation for him.
It is imperative to call Atlanta penitentiary at 404/622-6241 and let warden
Willie Scott know that Leonard has people who are watching over him. This
move comes on the heels of a growing clemency movement. Also, please call
the White House at 202/456-1111 and voice your concern. Notify your Senators
and call for an inquiry as to why Peltier is being moved to the Atlanta
Prison. Your phone call may save Peltier's life!
