KIDNEY TRANSPLANT NEEDED: I am a dialysis patient confined for 8 years and unjustly denied access to a kidney transplant by federal prison administrators, albeit their kidney doctor has indicated that I and others here are end-stage renal disease patients and potential candidates for transplants. Twice I have almost died because the B.O.P. Medical/dialysis staff supervisors and their private dialysis treatment contractors denied me adequate dialysis treatment. I was confined for 41 months at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, MO, where "60 Minutes" did a segment on medical injustices to prisoner-patients. Most of these dialysis patients are African-American. THE DEHUMANIZATION AND FLAGRANT HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS continue to go unbated for over 40 political prisoners and prisoners of war. Most of these men are Afrikan, Mexican, Indigenous Central & South American, Native American, Puerto Rican, and Cuban-prisoners locked down for their challenges on prison collusion, racism, and oppression, other abuses, and political extortion.
I spent 20 months of total isolation and degradation by racial, mental, spiritual, and physical abuses in the Nebraska State Penitentiary control unit, known as "The House of Horrors." I am now back in the prison general population, my release made possible by all the supporters who sent letters to the director of corrections, and by the talented civil rights lawyer who forced the local courts to issue a court order/injuction for my release on the grounds of flagrant violations on my civil liberties.
In the past year, there have been over 1,100 unnecessary deaths nationally of men and women due to abuses and torture in control units.
