really.) But ELS was nominated for a pile of awards a while ago,
and it actually won a few. Below is a list of the awards that this novel won:

| Chapter
1 The first chapter in my new novel, ELS finds Mulder ditching Scully yet one more time to chase down a questionable lead about his missing sister Samantha. Scully, once again roped in to riding to her partner's rescue, finally puts her foot down and gives Mulder explicit instructions on what she will and will not tolerate. Then, of course, problems ensue. |

| Chapter
2 Scully and Mulder arrive at Quantico to begin their temporary assignment with the Investigative Support Unit. They meet the department head, Tony Littleton, who is an "old friend" of Mulder's. Assigned to investigate old, cold cases, Mulder and Scully waste little time in making their mark. (Contains scenes of violence.) |

| Chapter 3 The third chapter of this new novel finds Mulder and Scully taking some quiet downtime in Chicago; Mulder pulls some strings to provide some entertainment for he and his partner. In the middle of their evening out, they recieve an urgent call from Tony Littleton, dispatching them to yet anothe city in a desperate attempt to beat the clock against a twisted madman. Warning: Violent content, angst. |

| Chapter 4 The fourth chapter of this exciting novel finds Scully and Mulder returning to Washington, DC after the Jacksonville case and spending some downtime together redefining the nature of their relationship. Warning: Gruesome violent imagery, and sloppy, goopy romantic stuff. Only for the strong of stomach. |

| Chapter 5 Chapter five has Scully and Mulder continuing the downtime and decompression in Washington, as well as setting some much-needed limits in their relationship. Meanwhile, Dupree is on the prowl for another victim. Tony Littleton calls and makes a surprise announcement...and a demand. |

| Chapter 6 Chapter six finds Mulder and Scully flying to Portland, Maine to participate in the investigation of the mysterious disappearance of eleven women. Meanwhile, the Citywide Major Cases Squad of the New York City Police Department stumbles onto the most recent Dupree homicide. While investigating the case, Detectives Cross and Hicks encounter some strange anamolies. |

| Chapter 7 Chapter seven contains some scenes of strife as Mulder and Scully exchange some sharp words over their relationship. Meanwhile, Captain Alex Cahill, Detectives Sam Cross and Daryl Hicks continue to investigate the mysterious Leon King and Jack Nelson/Wagner murders. Contains some violent scenes. |

| Chapter 8 Scully and Mulder travel to a maximum security prison to discuss aspects of the case with convicted serial torturer & murderer James Lee Dysan. Meanwhile, Captain Alex Cahill, and Detectives Sam Cross and Daryl Hicks receive some interesting vistors that shed some light on the continuing investigation into the King/Wagner murders. |

| Chapter 9 Scully and Mulder leave the prison so that Scully can return and perform the autopsy on the latest victim. She makes some very disturbing discoveres. She and Mulder have a discussion about what kind of person, or monster, could commit such acts. Meanwhile, Captain Alex Cahill of the NYPD begins the political manuevering she'll need to close her case, and makes a startling discovery about her lead investigator, Detective Sam Cross. Warning: EXTREMELY VIOLENT CONTENT. |

| Chapter 10 Scully and Mulder continue to discuss sensitive issues without coming to a resolution. Meanwhile, the Portland case picks up speed, resulting in an unusual suspect. Scully is forced to make a life or death decision, resulting in some hard questions being asked. |

| Chapter 11 After the resolution of the Portland case, including an interview with the local FBI Field Office, Scully and Mulder continue to discuss the delicate topics surrounding their relationship. Meanwhile, Mark Dupree continues to execute his dasterdly master plan. |

| Chapter 12 Mark Dupree makes his presence known to the NYPD and the New York Press in a very direct and startling manner, causing Captain Alex Cahill to force her hand with the Chief of Detectives and the FBI.Meanwhile, Dana Scully sees an FBI counselor about her and Mulder's problem, and the psychologist has a startling suggestion for what might work. |

| Chapter 13 As Dupree raises the stakes in the ongoing investigation, Scully takes a little time to do some thinking about her relationship with Mulder, and what his proclivities mean to her, and to them. Mulder, sent to Seattle to testify in the Jarvis Homicide case, decides to make an attempt to conform his actions more towards what Scully expects. With one bold stroke, Mark Dupree ups the ante for Deputy Inspector Cahill, Detectives Cross and Hicks, and Special Agent Dana Scully. |

| Chapter 14 As Dupree continues to send messages and images to both the NYPD and the New York Press, Mulder and Scully come to a new level of agreement in their relationship. Dupree strikes again, giving Scully ample evidence of the depths to which he will sink; will Mulder return from Seattle in time to help with the case, or will Scully be left alone to provide the profile the NYPD so desperately needs to track and arrest the killer? |

| Chapter 15 Mulder joins Scully in New York, and their discussions about sensitive topics deepeen. Meanwhile, the Dupree case heats up as the killer raises the stakes. Alex Cahill starts to experience the pressure that the New York media can bring to bear on such a sensational case. Scully picks up Mulder at the airport and they have a very interesting discussion while driving through Times Square in the middle of the night. |

| Chapter 16 With the discovery of the ELS, Mulder and Scully try to determine what message the killer is trying to send. Mulder uses some interesting mathematical theories, including some infinite-finite math problems to illustrate to Alex the scope and breadth of the problem they are dealing with while trying to solve the ELS. |

| Chapter 17 New York Television reporter Casey Tan makes her first appearance in this chapter. A hard-edge, do-anything kind of media maggot, she will seduce or setup anyone she needs to in order to get the story. Alex finds Mulder in a very bad way in one of the interrogation rooms, creating a sensitive and unique situation when Scully discovers them. |

| Chapter 18 As Dupree stalks his next victim, Alex explains to Scully exactly what happened in the conference room; we learn more about Mulder's obsession with adult entertainment material, and perhaps why the disappearence of his sister it not all it has been cracked up to be; as Dupree closes in on the next victim, Mulder suffers a horrible nightmare. As Scully tries to comfort him -- fireworks erupt. Warning: Strong sexual contact. (Yes, this is the "money" chapter.) |

| Chapter 19 Dupree, fleeing from the scene of his botched murder, plans a new attack on his latest victim as Mulder and Byers set a trap for him at the hospital. Reporter Casey Tan is alerted to The Lone Gunmen's presence on the case, and starts asking some very hard questions of Alex Cahill. Meanwhile, Scully and Detective Cross have a serious discussion about Scully's new relationship with Mulder, and Scully also makes some connections regarding Sam Cross. |

| Chapter 20 Dupree decides on his new Chosen and prepares to stalk a new victim. Meanwhile, Mulder, Scully, and Alex (with the help of the local New York Field Office of the FBI and the NYPD Emergency Services Unit,) undertake an undercover operation designed to throw press attention away from the case, enlisting the help of reporter Casey Tan. |

| Chapter 21 Dupree stalks his new victim, toying with the idea of going further than ever before. Mulder and Scully awake together, and have an interesting phone conversation with Assistant Director Skinner. After warning the Lone Gunmen about reporter Casey Tan, Mulder and Scully go to the NYPD forensics lab to see if they can learn anymore from the Strimnovitch murder evidence. Tim Everett makes a possibly career-ending decision when he discovers The Gunmen attempting to breach the USMS computer system. Mulder realizes that in order to catch Dupree, he'll have to once again enter the killer's mind in his own special way. |

| Chapter 22 Dupree investigates Scully's hotel room and makes a startling disocovery about the nature of her relationship with Mulder, which he plans to use to his advantage. Staking out Dupree in Tanaka's house, Mulder, Scully, Cahill and Officer Chin decide that it's a lost cause, and they return to the hotel for some sleep -- just as Dupree prepares to take the game to the next level. |

| Chapter 23 Dupree lies in wait in Scully's hotel room as Mulder, Scully, Cahill and Officer Chin stake Dupree out at Tanaka's house. After realizing that the insidious serial killer is still one step ahead of them, Scully and Mulder return to the hotel to get some sleep, and Dupree makes a surprise visit. Mulder finally discovers what text Dupree is using to generate his codes, and decides to use this information to his advantage as this novel races to its exciting conclusion! |

| Chapter 24 Mulder, Scully and Cahill move to set a trap for the killer Dupree, still unaware of his ultimate agenda. Meanwhile, Tim Everett realizes the situation he's placed himself in with Casey Tan, and seeks out Alex's help. The identity of the killer is revealed, and Dupree turns the tables on Mulder and Scully, costing one member of the team their life. |

| Chapter 25 After the events of ELS24, Mulder and Cahill are ready to track the killer Dupree to his den. Leaving Scully behind for the moment, Mulder and Cahill race against time to trap and arrest Dupree before he strikes again. A cryptic note left at the scene of the most recent murder leads Mulder and Scully to an unlikely place, where the showdown between the FBI & NYPD and the killer Dupree reaches its exciting climax. THIS IS THE LAST CHAPTER OF ELS. |
