Whenever you glue something as you suggest always remember your "stick" is ONLY as good as the first "stick" so although you will be able to glue the wood to vinyl with sufficient preparation of the vinyl - this "stick" will be totally dependent on the vinyl "stick" which was probably 30 years or so ago. I would not like to bet that your wood floor will be good for 50/60 years as I would expect any glued wood floor to be
unless you take off those tiles!
