Thanks steve, I got your reply from gardenweb too. I have stopped installing
and plan to do the rest with glue ( which is half of the room).
I have some extra hardwood left can I rip some of the old dimpled
ones which are actually in the middle of the installed ones
and replace it with new hardwood?
What would be the best way to take out the installed hardwood from
the middle ?

: : Manninton sells a gun, which is called the "Floor Monster", and the recomended staple is a nylon coated 1 3/8" length. The gun is made by Spotnail. The Manninton 1/2" maple products are glue down only, because of the very problem you describe. My Installation guide shows only maple as 1/2", but it isn't this years.
