People of Kimbe Bay Islands, Papua New Guinea | ||||
| Kimbe Bay lies on the north coast of New Britain Island. The area produces much palm oil and timber. Island children and some adults paddled out on dugouts to the Star Dancer on two days of our trip. The dive boat crew had brought cans of corned beef and other desirable staples to trade for their bananas and vegetable greens. They had many more bananas than our boat needed. | ||||
