Metta Meditation 2016

We are happy to announce that the Metta Meditation gatherings, which started in 2015, will continue throughout 2016.  These gatherings take place on the first Wednesday of each month.  This program is facilitated by Ministerial Assistant Elaine Donlin from the Buddhist Church of San Francisco.  Sensei does an excellent job preparing for these gatherings.

The sessions start at 6 pm and last approximately one hour.  Each gathering begins with Kansho (calling bell meditation), followed by Dharma talk/teaching, guided meditation, and closes with oral recitations.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  There is no fee.  Donations are gratefully accepted.

Just what is Buddhism?

What do terms such as Karma, Nirvana, Me a and so on really mean?

Why are there so many different sects of Buddhism?

What makes a person a Buddhist?

These and other questions will be addressed in plain, simple language.

No mystification.

Just straight talk from the Unqualified Pure Land (Jodo Shinshu) perspective.

No prerequisites for these classes—just come as you are.
