STRUVE' AND SNEFF (original 1979 release) EMG CCD102

Renaldo and the Loaf play Struve' and Sneff was our first publically available project; a cassette album sold through local shops and by mail order, only about 250 copies were made.

In 1985, an album of the same name was released on vinyl with extra tracks inserted into the song sequence (See EMG-5 CD Below). This remixed/ remastered version, to a degree, lost the fluidity of the original in attempting to reproduce it's 'accidents'.

So it's even more gratifying now that Struve' and Sneff's work is presented in it's original form, just as it was on the cassettes, including the two tracks on the 'B' side, unreleased since those early days.

This first album by Renaldo & the Loaf was recorded in 1979 (see original above CCD 102) and released 1985. It's truly remarkable that just a couple of good old chaps from Portsmouth can crank out some of the most primitive modern music ever!.

This is certainly the most evolved work by the Portsmouth Pair, Despite their use of more sophisticated technology and production techniques, his , R & Ls' lovely last hurrah,is just as electric, quirky, hilarious and naive as their earlier efforts. Beautiful!.
