This is the most serious and widespread of the hidden agendas. Throughout the Mid-east, Africa, Latin America and Asia, those countries that have the most serious economic problems, their women are treated as second class people. Women are considered useful for having babies and serving men, certainly not for contributing to major political, economic, religious and social decisions about policy. Education is for men. Why educate women when they are only good for having babies and exist as property of their husbands. Thus women are uneducated and as a result know no other way of life. Those women can't even envision any other way of living. They have the babies, cook for their families, work in the fields and serve their husbands sexually on demand, while the men sit around and converse and laugh with one another, or watch TV if they can afford to own one. And why should the men give up that lifestyle?
As a result, those countries that practice women slavery as described above, are losing half of their nation's talent and brain power in the process. Women can not contribute significantly towards their own society's advancement and well being. The women often don't even understand the benefits of limiting the number of babies to which they give birth because they have no awareness that there is a better way of life that would greatly benefit both them and their husband, not to mention greater opportunities for their children.
Such women are kept in ignorance, uneducated and in particular kept unaware of the enormous benefits of birth control and limiting family size. Often men keep them in this condition so the women can be kept as property such as cattle, and the men find some religious excuse to keep them there. In the end, they may have eight, nine or ten children with little opportunity for the children to find a satisfying future. Such a general social condition that results is one of depression and frustration especially among young adults, and in some nations these desparate offspring are ripe fodder for war and suicide missions.

Another serious problem is that the wealthy desire to keep their way of life as luxurious as possible. If the masses are kept in ignorance and poor, they will be desparate to work for any paltry sum just to survive. As a consequence, corporations and other wealthy individuals can have all the economic slaves they want: cooks, house maids, gardeners, guards and others that will wait on them hand and foot. Many of these wealthy individuals even hold people who work for a living in contempt. Poor ignorant people deserve to remain poor. These poor desparate people dare not demand better wages and conditions of work because for every one that may complain, there are ten people who will gladly replace them just to stay alive. No labor demands or strikes are even thinkable, and working conditions can be kept at the lowest possible level. The rich can become richer and the poor will become even poorer.
One means of a poor and desparate country to conquer a wealthy country of great opportunities, is to develop powerful weapons and military forces, then march in and take away land and resources. But if the nation who would desire to be the conquerer is too poor, it can be accomplished by persuading their people to reproduce rapidly then infiltrate the larger more powerful nation by illegal immigration. Sometimes this is done by default, where ignorant people unaware of the advantages of population stabelization, simply produce large numbers of children as a result of their cultural and religious beliefs. Usually this is the result of male dominance as described above. The illegal immigrants are simply desiring a better way of life. But powerful organizations are using them a pawns in a bitter struggle for power with the more powerful and wealthy nation.
A highly educated public is much more likely to question authority than people who are kept in ignorance. One form of a hidden agenda is to secretly plan to keep education and general knowledge out of the hands and minds of the people, then use pursuasive propaganda (often in the name of God) to force people to sacrifice themselves, not for their devotion to some religious belief, but to the benefit of greedy and powerful men who would never think of sacrificing themselves. In any case, people can more easily be indoctrinated into believing dogmatic ideas when kept ignorant than if they are fully and fairly educated (not indoctrinated into accepting narrow beliefs without validation through observation and critical thinking). One good example of such an agenda lies hidden in the so called "school voucher" plan so fervently persued by the Republicans in the United States.
Sex is a wonderful human pastime. It is a powerful and relentless natural drive that gives people much pleasure and serves to make the bonds between couples stronger and love deeper. Because it is such a strong drive with people, religious groups have grabbed the opportunity to develop an anti-hedonism agenda, and to twist the minds of people into thinking that pure pleasure from sex is fundamentally evil, and causing those who belive in that falacy to feel guilty about their sexual feelings. That guilt drives them to ask forgiveness from the very same religious leaders who perpetrated these false ideas, and thus providing religious leaders with much undeserved power over the lives of people.
So one clever argument is to justify having all that "evil sex" is to produce many children. The result of that of course, is unbridled population growth. With uncontrolled population growth, there is an ever increasing number of the poor and uneducated, and that leads to greater power in the hands of unscupulous religious leaders.
Wild and uncontrolled promiscuous sexual activity is neither suggested here nor is it desirable for a number of reasons. Condoms are a means to reduce the spread of such diseases as AIDS and hepatitus C. However, birth control used by a couple in a committed relationship, gives them the means by which they can decide when they desire children and how many they can afford or even want. Then both men and women can have the pleasure of sex without the fear of endless pregnancies. By having only one or two children, a small family has greater opportunity to give their children better education, the chance to live more successful rewarding lives and to have greater opportunity to contribute t greater opportunity to give their children better education, the chance to live more successful rewarding lives and to have greater opportunity to contribute to the general welfare of humanity.
