The reunion of Brentonians from the early 70s got started on Thursday, April 30, with the arrival of Paul Martin '71 (from a 6 week stint in Chile). Next arrivals were Jennifer Robinson '72, Gerry Geronimo '71 (flying in together from Oakland), and Craig Hunter '71 from Seattle.

The 4 immediately hit the hotel bar where Damon Woods '71 joined them. Damon is a visiting lecturer at UC, Irvine, and he is also a Pastor/Teacher with The Church on Melrose.

Next to join the group were Charlie Batongmalaque '71, Fern Villaluna '71, and Gretchen (Bongolan) Donndelinger '70.

The group then moved to a steak restaurant in the hotel for dinner. Pictures were taken during dinner, but Gerry's camera went on the blink and Gretchen lost her camera.

Next stop was a Fern's room where a big bottle of tequila was opened.

The group woke up very early the next morning to play a round of golf. The winner of the golf tournament was Charlie. Nobody was hit by errant golf balls, but both Fern and Craig managed to "tree" balls.

While some took well deserved naps in the afternoon, a hardy few picked up David Jeffers '72 (from Phoenix) at the airport.

The entire group then went to Disneyland. Meanwhile in Hawaii, Anne (Pearson) Washburn '73 unsuccessfully tried to catch a flight to join the reunion (on standby).

The next morning, Kathleen Farretta '73 joined the group for breakfast and a trip to the J. Paul Getty Museum for a bit of culture.

These pictures make it look like all we did was sit down and drink. Actually, we saw quite a bit of terrific art. There was so much to see that we probably only saw less than 5% of what's displayed in this fine museum.

The group then had a late lunch at a Korean restaurant where mass quantities of food were cooked on table top barbecues and consumed. It was probably good that no pictures were taken during this eating binge.

This was followed by a stop at The Yard House (The World's Largest Selection of Draft Beer with 250 Taps) where mass quantities of beer were drank. Stan (Kathleen's husband) joined us for this session.

The finale was a stop at Kathleen's house where the group grooved to music from the late 60s and early 70s.

An attempt was made by the group to connect with other Brentonians via the Internet. Unfortunately, this attempt unsuccessful even with Farida Alim's ('71) valiant efforts to do so from Vienna, Austria. Farida spent hours on the Internet trying to connect with us.

Everyone met one last time for breakfast on Sunday before heading out to the airport to catch flights home. A good time was had by all.
