It is now clear that the wars of the 21st century are likely to be just as bloody and horrific as those of prior ages. No matter how accurate the weapons systems, they remain subject to human and mechanical error, with enough lethal power to level a city block. No matter how smart the bomb, it can neither discriminate between soldiers or civilians. Talking Pictures exists as a creative and productive response to the critical need for humanitarian relief in a country ravaged by war, years of sanctions and the tyranny of fascism. We can make a difference assisting those most able to deliver food, water, medical necessities and rebuilding expertise. The images that you see currently at this site represent a small body of work produced during a number of prewar peace rallies held in San Francisco. However, we are hoping to acquire more images in the near future promoting the many aspects of peace and cooperative human relationships.By purchasing an image of your choice, you can help mitigate the impact of war.
