Add a logo to both pages at the campus and optional Websites. Place 3 versions of ONE of the logos on a Web page.

The 3 sizes are:
200 by 200 pixels
100 by 100 pixels
50 by 50 pixels

Please note if your logo is not a square shape, just make sure that the longest side does not exceed the sizes given above.

Find an example of a good or bad logo on a website. Write a short description of why you chose the logo, what inspired you about it, or how do you feel it doesn't work. Pay attention to how well it reads at the size used and how it fits on the page(s).

Lesson 2: Photos/Collage

Choose one of the clients, the other client will require a collage. Next week the collage client will be completed. The optional client was my selection for this lesson. I have not provided an example since I want you to create your own look on this image.

Select the client that does not have a collage, add photos for that client. You should have at least one photo on your second level page.

Download the couple.jpg file, do the following:

1. take shine off man's head
2. resize and crop so width is under 200 pixels
3. save one version with a drop shadow
4. another version with a stroke
5. third version with a feathered selection
6. final version with one of the "Image Effects Styles"

Slice ONE of your second level pages and create an .html page with the images. Create a working template which will not break when content is added. Add HTML text with at least 6 paragraphs.

Use nested tables and CSS code as needed. Place a copy of the file on the Web with borders off and then another copy with border=1 for all tables.

Fill this out as if you were presenting your site to the class and to the client. Tell us why you made the choices you did. Talk about your concept, colors, fonts and design. Tell us about your process, what you learned, what were fortunate or unfortunate occurrences along your path. Tell us if you used another program such as Fireworks, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Homesite, etc. and how that helped you in your process. I will have a final look over of your sites and grade on the overall presentation. Points will be deducted if you do not write about your site on the Final Presentation form.
