Burning Man -
If you have not heard of or been to Burning Man, far be it from me to fully explain it. What I can say is that Burning Man helps me keep a world view that embraces the positive.
Triathlon / Running Events -
After being a rather sedentary youth and young adult, I have found a passion in my aging self for morning swims, long road bike rides, and trail running in beautiful Annadel State Park. Working triathlon into my life style has resulted in getting up way too early to swim with the "Santa Rosa Masters" before work, running with the "Santa Rosa Fleet Feet Trail Group", and training for various 10k runs, 1 or 2 mile lake swims, 1/2 marathons... and triathlons - the biggee (for me) being the Barb's Race, a 1/2 Ironman distance all-women's triathlon I completed in August 2007, 2008 and 2009. In 2009 I am also training for my first marathon to celebrate turning 50!
