The summer of fun is a series of events organized by young adults of the Catholic community at Stanford for Catholic young adults in the San Francisco bay area.
588 East Alma Avenue, San Jose. A summer of fun pre-season event, join young adults from all over the Diocese as we gather to cheer the SJ Giants against the Modesto Nuts. Young Adults from the DSJ Softball League, Deanery 2, Deanery 3 and Deanery 5 will be in attendance. General Admission Tickets($9.00) will be purchased in one big block by the Young Adults of St. Mary's, Los Gatos. We are also planning on a tailgater prior to the game. Join us as we ride the Roaring Camp Railroads Beach Train from Felton through magnificent and arromatic Redwoods down to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. We'll eat lunch on the Boardwalk and enjoy the beach, pier, and warm sunshine!!Meet Saturday June 30th at 9am at the top of the Stanford Oval. We'll be back around 7pm.

Yes,the date is correct. We'll be watching fireworks at the Stanford Oval on the Third of July. The fireworks start up after the concert at Frost Memorial Amphitheatre. Spend a Sunday in the East Bay first at brunch at an authentic Thai Temple. Then watch some beautifully crafted kites over the Bay. The day wraps up with dinner at local favorite, Vic's Chaat House. Join us on our annual young adult excursion into wine country on Saturday, August 4th. This year we will be exploring the wineries in and around Santa Cruz, as well as stopping at a local cookie company for samples! We will be traveling by passenger vans, so you can feel free to relax and taste all the wine you want. Van cost will be $15 per person. This new Summer of Fun event requires reservations and prepayment We'll be renting kayaks and touring the scenic Monterey Bay. Rentals are $30 for single, double or triple kayaks. At San Bruno City Park (Crystal Springs Avenue & Oak Avenue, San Bruno, CA) starting at 11 am on Sunday morning the Catholic Young Adults of Deanery 2 and the Catholic Young Adults of St. Dominics in San Francisco will be playing a soccer match, on Sunday, August 26th, and YOU are invited. Come by and play for the Deanery 2 team - no soccer experience is required! Spectators are welcome and encouraged! THIS SOCCER MATCH OF THE CENTURY will be followed by a friendly BBQ/picnic lunch. Bring food, drinks, and/or amazing soccer skills to share.
