The short version in 8 simple points:
- We are planning a temporary hospice in rental rooms until the real hospice being built by Giriraja Swami is completed next year
- We plan to rent at least three rooms (or more) at between $10- $15 per night, paid in advance each month, even if they remain empty at times:
- One for patient
- One for nurse
- One for medical supplies storage, filing, office, guest or second nurse
- The nursing aspect has two probabilities:
- Hire a live-in resident nurse and have him/her trained by Sangita
- Or, have Sangita or one of her nurses travel to India on a case by case basis
- As with startup companies in the real world the very first step after an idea is to secure venture capital (Donation fund)
- Our goal in order to begin any kind of operation is to reach 340 individual donations of $12 each month, which equals to $4,080 USD (or which ever comes first, since the donation amounts vary between $1 - $108 per month)
- If we reach our goal we will then rent or lease the rooms, purchase medical supplies and ship them for storage, decide then whether to hire nurses or spend that portion of the Lakshmi to have Sangita come on a case by case basis
- This will depend on the amount of traffic or souls that are requiring Hospice care
- Either way, or both, will be decided based on the total donation amount pledged each month
- Everything (including startup) is hinging on VERY FIRST securing the funding goal (donation base) for each month.
- In the event that we do not reach our monthly goal after three months, I plan to begin discussions with the donors to give their money to Sangita and Giriraja Maharaja for their eventual real hospice. We hope to make those decisions by vote.
