"MACH III DRAG BIKE"

REVELL 8TH SCALE KAWASAKI BASED DRAG BIKE

BUILT BY IRA DAHM (4/72)

BUILT IN 1972 FOR THE "CAR MODEL MAGAZINE" ARTICLE "HOW TO BUILD A VERY FAST KAWASAKI"

MORE COLOR PHOTOS BELOW!

I am happy to report that the "MACH III DRAG BIKE" survived, in excellent condition, after being in storage for over 30 years. A little dusting was all that was done to this, 30+ year old, model when it was unpacked.

This article was in the April 1972 issue of Car Model Magazine, in it I showed how to scratch build a Custom Drag Racing Frame, to convert Revell's Mach III Street/Drag Bike, into a Serious Drag Racer! Along with the Custom Racing Frame came several modifications to the stock parts like, Shaving the front tire tread, Shortening the forks, Adding a front wheel disc and the Addition of many new details and parts.

These are new photos of the original 1972 "MACH III DRAG BIKE" 8th scale model.
