I used the Paddy Wagon Kit, and the Beer
Wagon kit and mixed the parts up and came up with two new and different
styles of cars. (The other car is the Mack C-Cab, click on this link to
see the Mack C-Cab.) This is the first model I
have built in about 30 years. I wrote for Car Model Magazine in the 1970's
and quit building when they went out of business. I really enjoyed building
these kits, it was great fun, and I am looking forward to building many
more.
The Short C-Cab is based on the Paddy Wagon
kit. The frame was shortened, and the rear wheels were moved forward about
an inch. The front part of the body, and floorboard are from the Paddy Wagon
kit. The C Cab back body half, seats, gas tank, and the tail lights are
from the Beer Wagon kit. The blower, scoop, and the fan belt are from Tester's
Coupster kit. The front part of the body was extended about 1/4 inch with
sheet plastic.The body and engine are painted with Testors Ruby Red Metalflake
spray paint. The interior and frame are flat black and gold metalic.
