Saturday Morning Ride

This is a series  of leisurely rides aimed at the novice rider with an 
emphasis on skills and techniques.  A slightly harder/longer loop will be 
available for the more advanced rider or as a goal to shoot for the beginning 
rider.  Meet near the 24 Hour Nautilus in the Quito Village Shopping Center 
on Cox between Saratoga Avenue and Quito Road.  Stay for snacks, questions, 
answers (maybe) and general social amenities after the ride.  Bring money for 
snacks.  Route sheets provided for all rides.  Helmets required, rain or wet 
roads cancel.   CALL STEVE TO CONFIRM.

Meet in the parking lot in front of Albertson's on El Camino Real near Hwy 85 
(toward Sunnyvale).  Daylight savings starts and you need to be up an hour 
earlier, so this ride starts at 11 am to make the time adjustment easier. 
We'll ride on the bike path along Hwy 85 to Shoreline Park, make a loop to 
the Palo Alto Baylands, then back to Shoreline for lunch.  Rain cancels.

downtown Soquel. Ride to Corralitos via Hames Road, then through redwoods on 
Hazel Dell to Gizdich Ranch for apple pie. Return through Watsonville, Larkin 
Valley and Seascape. 30% or greater chance of rain cancels.  This is an ACTC

Morgan Territory Road

This East Bay ride features a couple of good scenic climbs: Morgan Territory 
Road and the shoulder of Mt. Diablo.  Lunch will be somewhere in Clayton.  
Meet at the Livermore Airport parking lot, bring money for lunch.  Call Roy 
if you are coming or he may go sailing instead.

Travel to Britain’s Offshore Islands

Island hop offshore of Scotland, Wales and England.  In Scotland visit the 
Shetlands, the Orkneys, Lewis and Harris, Skye, Mull and Iona.  After 
visiting the self-governing Isle of Man, it’s off to Wales’ Anglesey and Holy 
Islands.  In England the Isle of Wight leads to the Channel Islands, Jersey, 
Guernsey and Sark.  Meet  at the Mountain View Center for the Performing 
Arts' box office at 6:15 for dinner on Castro Street, usually at a local 
Indian restaurant.  If you can't make dinner but still want to travel with us 
meet at the box office by 7:30 to purchase balcony seat tickets ($8.00).  
Show time is  7:45.
