The "leader" or other volunteer will ride behind the slowest rider on the short route. Usually someone will also "sweep" the other route and there is usually a leader in front for each route. Many riders get together for dinner after the ride, usually at a nearby pizza parlor.
The riding time tends to be one or two hours, depending on length and pace (10 to 20 mph). The Skyline Wednesday night rides have been popular for over two decades and are a good way to get in some mid-week cycling, practice group riding, and meet fellow cyclists.
Please arrive in time to begin riding promptly at 6:00 p.m. If you are not a member of the Skyline Cycling Club, you must sign a liability release before each ride. You must be at least 18 years old, or accompanied by an adult to participate. Helmets are required by most ride leaders. If you don't want to wear a helmet, call the leader and find out what their policy is that month.
