Alemannia was founded back in 1890, although the initial sporting interest was in fact cricket. The first major success on the soccer field came in 1923, with the victory in the Berlin city championship. They managed the next hight point some 30 years later, as they reached the finals of the German amateur championship in 1955. Since then, soccer success has been almost non-existant. Alemannia basically played in the 3rd level Landesliga throughout the 50s-60s, with an occasional appearance in the 2nd division Regionalliga Berlin, their last appearance in 1975.
In 1994, the famed club Wacker Berlin folded, and many of the soccer membership moved to Alemannia, strengthening the club, which then started soccer competitions as SG Alemmania-Wacker. Wacker had a history of achieving quite a lot with little resources, and were somewhat of a city soccer power, making a few visits into the 2nd division. However, despite success on the field, Wacker could not attract any support. Despite playing in the 2nd division, crowds of under 2,000 was the norm. By the time Wacker was relegated from the 3rd division in 1992, this number had dwindled to about 100.
The combined Alemannia-Wacker is basically a non-factor in the soccer scene.
