Jochen Gramse

Gramse is currently the backup goalkeeper for WSV. He had a chance as a starter in 1997/98, as he was the top choice for the first half of the season. Despite a promising start, he had several poor outings, and was replaced midseason by Alexander Ogrinc, who came from defunct Hessen Kassel.

For the 98/99 season, he was on the bench from the start. He got his big chance when No.1 keeper Wolfgang Wiesner went down with an injury, but blew it by getting red carded and injured at the same time.

The book on Gramse is that he is capable of spectacular saves, but seems to show lack of experience and poor judgement at times.
