- May include cost of collecting the information,
even if required for internal agency operation,
- computerizing it, maintaining it,
- "pro-rated" capital-equipment costs,
- staff and management salaries, benefits and retirement,
- building & grounds maintenance, building depreciation, etc.!
- Modern [computerized] access and copies priced at market-value.
- Newly-confirmed state ClO (Chief Info Officer) John Flynn told
Senate committee the revenue potential is too much to ignore.
- E.g., DMV sells driver & vehicle info for $50- to $60-million/year.
