Meet the Artist
Born in Wichita Kansas, from an early age my artistic gifts were noticed by my family and teachers. A charcoal portrait of J.F.K. was commissioned by me at sixteen. Upon seeing my work in a high school competition, I was offered by a talent scout a scholarship to Kansas City Art Institute and a job with Hallmark Inc.
Continuing my adult art education through evening classes at College of Marin, I built up a body of work. I then began exhibiting first in the Marin Art & Garden Gallery, then more exposure and sales at various fairs, art festivals, galleries, competitions and exhibits in the North Bay area.
A Swiss collector saw my work in the Sonoma Cultural Arts Center and became a regular customer of my art as a result of my photo card promotion through the mail. Several newspaper articles, including a feature article have been written about me and my art work. Here is one exert.
Versatile in various mediums - Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor & Pastel. "...achieving the solid colors and flat perspective of the primitive naive art style. But the detail and expression of her subjects faces goes beyond simplistic to a realism conveying heightened joy, sorrow or particularly in a painting of three Polynesian women fixing their long black hair, introspection. Her paintings have a quality of telling a story. She paints fond memories or how she wishes things could have been."

As a member of Petaluma Art Association I was trained to teach art to children in the schools. This and 2 yrs of Early Childhood Education propelled me into teaching children's art as a pre-school substitute, in my church and in private homes.

Digital Art began my new forte becoming versatile in Illustrator, Freehand, Painter & Photoshop. Finding a new form of expression jockeying between the Graphic Arts, Computer Science and Art programs at the Santa Rosa Junior College, I progressively refined my computer skills opening a door for a new career. Having graduated from a Web Design Certificate program at IMIT, a Petaluma Computer Vocational School,I am anxious to use these skills in a new career in Graphic Arts and Web Design. This web site will show you my varied talents.
My Art and Photography originals are available at reasonable prices upon request as well as photo cards and prints of the numerous images in my portfolio. I am currently seeking employment in Graphic/Web Design and also available for commissioned works. Please e-mail me for prices and availability.
