Churchill

October, 1998, I spent a few days in a small town called Churchill.  About 400 miles south of the artic circle, Churchill is famous for its polar bears. These bears often come into to town. But at this time of the year its best to go out into the tundra and find them. So we did.

The first day we found one hanging around near the Tundra Buggy. Unfortuntely, all he was interested was showing us his backside.

So, I tried getting closer.

And a little bit closer.

Then I got back into the tundra buggy.

I was there at the wrong time and this is just a postcard. But I really liked it.
