UNION WITH GOD

It is difficult to describe - using the limitations of human
language - the absolute ecstasy one experiences when one
becomes reunited with God. There is a peace, satisfaction,
and harmony which fills us so completely. The soul
achieves its ultimate fulfillment and rests eternally in joy
and happiness. The only comparison that gives us some
concept of what this rapturous state is like is the happiness
a parent feels when its child is in its arms, or of the nuptial
union of a bride and bridegroom.  Even these are pale com-
parisons of the delight the soul experiences when returned
to the lap of God.

A great realization dawns on the soul that attains union
with God.  It recognizes itself as a soul which has merged
with the Oversoul. It begins to see the Light of the soul in
all other beings Its spiritual vision is fully opened and it
sees all life as a part of God.  It realizes that every soul in
creation is a child of God and its own brother and sister
as well. A love wells up in such a soul for all creation.
When it looks at another human being, or an animal, or
plant, it sees the Light of God shining within it. Just as we
have an innate love for our close family members, we begin
to love all creation with that same love.

                          UNION IN DIVERSITY

Whether we pray in a temple or a mosque, we will all realize
that  each  person,  irrespective of  the religion into which he
or she was born,  is praying to one God.   We will recognize
that God is one,  whether he is called God,  Allah,  Jehovah,
Wahiguru,  Parmatma,  the Oversoul,  the creative power of
the  universe,  or  any  other  name.  We  will see unity in the
diversity  of  life.  It will not matter to us whether someone is
Hindu or Muslim, Sikh or Jain, Christian or Jewish, Buddhist
or  Parsi.   We  will  recognize  God's  Light  in  each  being,
whether  their  outer  skin  is  black,  white,  or tan.  We will
know  that  God  resides  in  every  person, whether born in
Asia,  Africa,  Australia,  Europe,  North America, or South
America.  We  will  realize  that  the  same Light of God is in
each of them.   We will appreciate the differences caused by
tradition  and  cultures,   but  realize  there  is  a  unity  in  all
living beings.

  Within us are riches greater  than any we can  ever accumulate  on earth.
We  have   inside   us   a  source   of  knowledge   from   which  all  other
knowledge  flows.   A love far greater and fulfilling that any we can know
in the  outer world  is  waiting to  embrace us with open  arms within.  At
our core is a strength and power that can enable us to overcome any fear.
Underlying  our  separateness  as   individuals  is  a  connectedness   and
oneness to  all life.  Awaiting us inside  is a bliss and  joy so fulfilling that
we need no other intoxicants to make us happy.  All these gifts lie within
us in the empowered soul.

       The soul is a source of tremendous wisdom, love, and power, yet we
remain  ignorant  of  its treasures when  we allow it to be overpowered by
the mind,  the senses,  and the physical body.     When the mind and body
assert power over the soul, the soul forgets itself. But the empowered soul
is  our  true nature, and  it is time we  reclaim the soul  so that its gifts can
enrich our life.

                   Being One with Our Soul

When  we  talk  about being connected with our soul,
we are actually talking about self-realization.   We are
embodied  souls -- souls  wearing a mind and a body.
Thus,  connecting  with our soul involves a process of
shifting  our  vision  to  see  that we  are  not merely a
mind and a body. When we identify with our soul, we
empower it to guide our lives.  We  then think, speak,
and act from the level of the soul.

Thinking,  speaking,  and acting from the central guiding
power  of  our soul transforms our lives.   How we look
at  the  world  and  how  we  respond  to  it is no longer
colored by the veil of  our ego; rather, the vibrant loving
power of God  in everything becomes crystal clear. The
soul  responds  to people and nature as moving lights of
God.   It  acts according to high principles of truth, non-
violence,  purity,  humility,  love,  and  selfless service. It
sees the interconnectedness of all living things, all people,
and the planet.

Our soul  puts us in  touch with  eternal wisdom, immor-
tality, truth, peace, and love.  As we live our life through
that perspective, we exist in a spirit of joy and bliss. We
are  fearless.  We  love  everyone,  We  have  access to
divine wisdom and are in tune with our immortal nature.

   Regions of Light that embrace souls with a powerful love await each one of us within. Sights  and  sounds beyond anything we could ever  imagine  reside within us.  Incredible music  far  beyond  any that can be produced by  worldly  instruments is reverberating at every moment.  Realms in which love resounds exist within at this very moment. colors we could never imagine  and sounds so melodious they enchant the soul characterize the inner realms.  Places  of bliss and joy from which all our worldly  cares are forgotten call to us from within.

   We know that  those who  have  had near-death  experiences  have encountered even at the borders of the beyond a light more brilliant than any seen on earth.  They speak of a being of Light  that radiates so much love that it was greater than  any they had known in  this world.  Books by  Dr. Raymond Moody and  personal  accounts  by  Bette Eadie and numerous  others  who  have had a near-death

experience give us an inkling of what awaits us  within.  We  do  not  need  a near-death experience  to  encounter the  inner realms, but  we  can  enter the doorway through med-
itation.

             What Are the Light and Sound of God?

The beginning of our soul's  journey is the contact  with the Light and
Sound of God.   The Light and  Sound are the two primary manifestations
of God.   It is said that when  God desired  to bring about creation, a
current emanated from God.  That current manifested as Light and Sound.
It  was  a  divine stream that  brought all creation into being.  As it
moved  further  from  the  source,   the  vibratory rate changed, Thus,
different regions of different vibrations were brought into being.  The
Light and Sound principle ultimately brought the physical universe into
being.

Our physical universe is operating at the densest vibratory rate.  It is
so dense that it manifests as matter. It is only in the last few decades
that  scientists have begun to understand that what we thought was solid
matter is  really dancing packets of energy. At the core of matter is an
energy  that  is  light  and  sound.   When we split an atom, there is a
tremendous burst of light and sound.  This light and sound energy within
our  physical  universe is the densest vibration of the current of Light
and  Sound  emanating from the one Creator. It brought all creation into
being and sustains all creation.

The  Light  and  Sound  current  flows  out from God, but it also flows
back  to God.   We  can catch this current at the point of the third or
single eye.   That is the connecting point between our soul in the body
and the Light and sound current emanating from the Creator.   If we can
concentrate  our  attention at that point, we can contact the Light and
Sound  current  and soar  on it  back through  the  higher  regions  of
existence.  The current  will ultimately lead us to our primary Source,
back to the Lord.
