I don't know what you mean by usenet postings. As far as I know, I never
use usenet. I use e-mail and the Web. I attended an IRC demonstration last
Saturday with I. Taylor, but I don't think it was usenet. I am aware that
someone keeps using my return address to send hate messages to others by
e-mail. Perhaps I should have an unlisted e-mail address or something like
that. The hate messages have been going one for quite some time. Please
let me know if there is anything that I can do to assist you.

Dan,
Usenet is also called "News". On nermal you would use the tin, rn or
trn to read it. The messages in question though came from Netscape
and the news function that it includes. If you go to the button that
says newsgroups or the directory item "Go to Newsgroups" you'll be in
news.
It is possible to cause Netscape to report someone else's name and I
suspect this is what has happened in your case. I see that you were
on campus that evening, although at another computer it would appear.
Might there be someone who you saw in the lab that has something
against you? Also, could you tell me which lab you were in, CIS, BCL
or another?
If you would come in and see me in person, we can create a new
account for you with a different name in an effort to reduce the
affect on your personally. I'm in Bussman Hall in the Computing
Services offices. Just come in and ask the Secretary to locate me.
We'd certainly like to get to the bottom of this whole mess.

I'm not really involved with anything regarding your issues. That's all
been turned over to Campus Police. Officer White is the person their to
