WHAT IS THIS?!

    A four door?  Us?!
Well, yeah, actually, a four door.  Imagine a roomy sedan built on a Zcar platform.  Yes, boys and girls, it's true!  Fully independent suspension, disk brakes all the way around, rear wheel drive, L-series six cylinder.  Only problem is that it's bigger than a Z, so it's heavier.  That means it doesn't stop as well:

What a day that was.  The car had been wrecked a few days earlier, and I wasn't too worried about it...  I'd checked for radiator clearance, and it seemed fine.  Nope - next time I heard the car I heard the telltale scrape-scrape of fan on radiator.  No way!

I called up a buddy of mine who runs a body shop - figuring on getting an estimate on him pulling the radiator support forward.  Better than I could have hoped, he gave me the tools so I could do it myself.

I had the fender, hood, cowl, headlights/grille, and more off the car to straighten is back out.  Worked out pretty good for a novice.

New Parts

I managed to pick up a set of Suspension Techniques springs and Tokico struts/shocks on the cheap. Since the front struts were shot, I figured what the heck, and with the help of my buddy Thor, we installed the whole shootin match one Saturday. What an incredible difference! Gone is the bounce of the tires on pavement, the body roll, the squat and dive. Car is about 1.5" lower than before, sorta silly lookin, IMHO... but, it's a much better handling and SAFER car than before, so it's worth looking funny!
