About the design of this site This website is a good example of a unique, simple design, that loads fast and is easy to read and understand. The large images on the right side of the page are huge for the web, but they have been optimized to load in only 4 seconds through a 56K modem. The images were selected to work well when seen through small or large browser windows. Images in magazine layouts run off the edge of the page, and similarly, the large images on this site run off the right edge of the browser window. Visitors with large monitors will enjoy more of the image, but those with small browser windows will see enough to be satisfied with the unique visual impressions. Finally, please note that the text on this site is slightly larger than what you see on most websites. This text is easier to read which allows a more comfortable viewing experience for a diverse audience. People with good vision don't have a problem to begin with, as they can easily read text of any size. But, those with poorer vision appreciate the larger text.
