Columbia Engineering Service Company was formed by Donald Stem in San Francisco, California.  The name was changed to CESCO and incorporated on May 1st, 1946.  As the company grew, so did its location. The company first moved 60 miles north to Santa Rosa in the early ‘50s. CESCO moved again to its Rohnert Park location in the early ‘80s where it remained until eventually outgrowing this location in 2006. Today, all CESCO’s manufacturing takes place at its 3.5 acre site in Georgetown, Texas while maintaining offices in Santa Rosa.

In 1979, CESCO purchased Q-Controls, a manufacturer of sanitary valves.  This line of vacuum breakers, float, pressure and vacuum relief valves is used throughout the North American dairy industry.
