Frit Basics
Cost: $175, materials included.
You will use frit, powder, and stringer to "frit paint". This class introduces you to the tools and techniques for handling granulated glass products, including fades, sgrafitto, layering, stenciling and color mixing. You will make five sample tiles, several color mixing tiles, and one finished composition using the techniques you learn. |
Sconce Class
Date: Sat Aug 23 and Sun Aug 24, Time: 1-4pm
Cost: $160, glass included
On the first day, we will cover issues specific to lighting designs and begin work on a single sconce. The sconce will be fused and slumped. Sconce hardware will be available for purchase, for an additional cost of approx. $65. Sconces will use Bullseye sconce mold #8725. Use of other molds and hardware will be discussed. |

Let it Shine !
Date: Sat Aug 9 and Sun Aug 10, Time: 1-4pm
Cost: $175, materials included. (higher price covers cost of precious metals)
If you like sparkle, then come use brass, copper &silver foils, gold luster, and other "tiny shiny" materials to give your work some glow. Learn techniques used in full fuse and slump firing. We will make lots of samples and a fused and slumped tray. |
Is That You ?(mask class)
Date: Sat Oct 25, and Sun Oct 26, Time: 12-4pm
Cost: $160, materials included.
Mask making has a rich history of ritual, spiritual, humorous, and theatrical purposes. We will discuss mask-making, create a glass mask, and discuss methods for displaying it. |

Some Like It Hot LIMIT 4 STUDENTS

Cost: $180, glass included.
If you always wanted to try combing and see the significant changes to glass at higher temperatures, then don your shades! We will be firing glass at 1700 F, while learning successful safety and firing techniques for this process. You will make one thicker, high temperature block and one combed section. |
Fused Glass Tableware 1 NEW (offered by Santa Rosa Recreation and Parks)Date: Tue July 15,22, 29
Make unique and colorful glassware for yourself or gift giving. The basics of kiln forming are covered plus tricks and tips to get professional results. Complete two different fused and slumped plates. No previous experienced required. Experienced fusers can learn details not often covered in other beginning classes.

Introduction to Glass Finishing Tools NEW
Date: Sat Aug 30, Time: 9-1pm
Cost: $125
Become familiar with basic cold working tools for cutting, grinding, and carving glass. This class will demonstrate the selection and use of diamond saws, sand blasting, lap wheel, glass carving tools, and sanding. In addition, you can learn to hand finish your projects without power tools. |
Casting Call NEW

Cost: $160, materials included.
You will learn three methods for casting simple three dimensional forms at home, without clay, a crucible, or mold-making skills. We will use molds and frit to do “freeze and fuse”, free-form shapes, and commercially available bisque molds. You will see how some of these cast pieces can be incorporated into other work. |
