delegation of final approval for named awards from ACM Council to ACM Awards Committee
clarification of disposition of endowed awards upon their discontinuation

Recommendations

Nominate candidates for Association-wide awards (due 2000-09-01).
Ensure your awards and their recipients are listed in the ACM Awards program brochure (due 2000-03-17 to your Program Director).
Establish SIG awards, especially service and paper awards.
Become familiar with the ACM Awards Policies.
Endow SIG awards.
Contribute to the endowment of existing ACM-wide awards.
