Anna Antonio, "battered wife"...
Married Salvatore Antonio when she was 16 and he was 30.
He "dominated her". She "was beaten" when she "didn't obey".
They had 4 kids, one died. She hired two men to "help her
out of her situation" (ie. kill her husband for her).
She was the only woman on death row, and the three female
guards (hired especially for her) became her friends,
shielding her from photographers when she went to the chair.
She offered to pay the killers out of her insurance settlement.

AMAZING amounts of sympathy were expended on this woman,
not to mention expense. She had repreive after reprieve,
and the governor took a lot of heat for not sparing her.
